Ecotourism is an alternative to mass tourism modality, now framed in Sustainable Tourism, which involves the development of tourism activities in a natural area, being careful to leave benefits for conservation area and the host communities, and minimize (environmental, social, cultural and psychological) impacts.

MANU



Manu National Park is located west of Puerto Maldonado. Although access is easier for Cuzco. Take a day and a half by bus, more comfortable and more expensive option is 25 minutes plane flight departing from the Cuzco airport.

Tambopata - Candamo



Officially created in 1990 as Tambopata Reserved Zone - Candamo, is located to the east and south of Puerto Maldonado. It consists of 1.5 million hectares (3.5 million acres) in the regions of Madre de Dios and Puno.

Megantoni



Megantoni National Sanctuary is a protected natural area created in 2004. Its area reaches 215,868.96 hectares and is located in the central part of the basin of the Urubamba River in the Cordillera of Ausangate, Echarate district, province of La Convention (department Cusco).

Megantoni Reserved Zone has a very varied vegetation highlighting the diversity of orchids, which are present in almost all areas of the sanctuary.

The wildlife sanctuary is also quite diverse. There have been many species of birds as well as new and unique frogs and lizards, many species of mammal species.
